Adrienne is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Adrienne completed a Master of Theological Studies in International and Urban Development from Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, and completed her Master of Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. Adrienne has over nine years of experience working in both community-based and clinical healthcare settings, supporting individuals in front-line (community outreach, advocacy, crisis intervention) and clinical (therapist) roles.
Adrienne is a passionate, encouraging and client-centered therapist who is honored to walk alongside individuals needing support in their lives. Adrienne has experience working with a wide variety of individuals who are impacted by: psychological trauma, PTSD, addiction, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger management and communication difficulties. Adrienne also has experience working with First Responders (from a variety of vocations), Veterans and Military Members experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and addiction.
Adrienne works from a strengths-based, anti-oppressive and attachment & trauma-informed lens in her work. Adrienne provides a variety of evidence-based interventions informed by: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as trauma reprocessing approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) coupled with Somatic interventions. Adrienne also includes Mindfulness-based and Self-Compassion focused interventions within her work.
Although the journey of healing often comes with many ups and downs, and rarely occurs in a straight line, Adrienne firmly believes that recovery and healing is possible, and she holds hope with individuals she works with. Adrienne aims to meet individuals where they are at in their lives & recovery, and works collaboratively to create a holistic treatment plan that supports all aspects of who they are.
