“I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.” – Brené Brown.

Life is messy and inherently unpredictable; this is what it means to be human. We all need and deserve space to be heard and seen, to slow down, feel, process, and grow. Your journey is as unique as you are, and you deserve someone who is willing and able to meet you where you are and guide you forward. Though challenging, showing up for yourself in life is the most profound, authentic, and courageous step towards healing. It is my hope to leverage and expand upon what is within you. I believe we are all worthy and capable of understanding, and meaningful change.

Hi, I’m Stephanie. I am a Master’s level clinician completing my final practicum training experience under the supervision of Dr. Lara Hiseler, C. Psych, in fulfillment of my Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School.  I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Trent University and was the Governor General’s Medal recipient.  In my life prior to finding my true calling in psychology, I also completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Chemistry at Ontario Tech University, and worked in Research and Development as an Analytical Chemist in the pharmaceutical industry for 3 years.

For over a decade, I have held various positions in the field of psychology, in both clinical and research, including working as a Mental Health and Addictions Clinician with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR), working in the Road Ahead Mobile Wellness Clinic. In this role, I helped adults living in rural and remote communities access services to work on a wide variety of psychological concerns.

I approach psychotherapy from a client-centred and trauma-informed place incorporating techniques from a variety of different approaches to tailor things to you! I have expertise in working with, but not limited to, challenges with anxiety and mood, relationship difficulties, struggles at work, substance use, struggles with body image, difficulties with sleep and routine management.  I work from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy approaches.  I’m excited to work with you,  as a fellow traveller,  to be a soft place to land to figure out where you are at, help you come up with a plan to move forward in a positive direction, and learn some new things about yourself.

I am offering all my psychotherapy on a sliding scale rate.

Let’s work together!

“The dark does not destroy the light; it defines it. It’s our fear of the dark that casts our joy into the shadows.” — Brené Brown
